November 28, 2022 — Seattle, WA — Panopto, the leading video management system provider in the higher education and enterprise markets, today announced that Jason Beem has joined its leadership team as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Beem replaces Tobi Hartmann, who has stepped down as CEO.

Beem brings over a decade of experience as an executive leader at SaaS companies, shepherding them through change and driving product innovation and category growth.

With over 10 million unique users, Panopto’s secure and easy-to-use video solution has become mission-critical for universities and enterprises around the world. Beem joins the leadership team as the company continues to experience increasing global demand and sustained growth.

Prior to Panopto, Beem spent 11 years in leadership roles growing facilities management software company Accruent from $13m to over $200m of revenue. With deep experience in high-velocity acquisitions and integrations, Beem has worked with private equity companies to help them accelerate growth for their platform companies by building robust leadership teams, driving operational excellence, and delivering financial rigor.

Beem holds a bachelor’s of science degree in computer science from California State University, East Bay.
